The driving test is straight forward, you will pass if you can show the examiner you can

• Drive safely
• Complete the set exercises
• Demonstrate a through knowledge of the highway code

Please rely on your instructors guidance as to when to apply for your test.  If you should apply for your test or accept a short test notice against your instructors advice, then they are entitled to refuse the use of the school car.

• The test costs £39
• The waiting period for the test is 6-8 weeks
• The test lasts around 40 minutes
• The test will include an eyesight test, 'Tell me, show me' and any two of the following:

• Reverse around a corner
• Turn in the road
• Reverse park
• Bay park

1 in 3 will also be asked to perform an controlled stop

The driving school charges for a double lesson on the day of your test.  This covers a one hour pre-test lesson and one hour use of the school car and instructors time.
